3 Ways to Manage Stress More Effectively

Life has lots of demands, and when I don't pay enough attention to me and my "self-care" routine, it's certainly painful enough for me to notice. I know I can't be the only one, so I thought I'd put together a quickie on stress relief. There are so many remedies, and while I could write an entire essay on this topic, I wanted to keep this one short and sweet. So without further ado, here are three ways to manage your stress more effectively:

Acupuncture

Here's a little science review: Everything in this world is made up of matter. Matter is made up of energy; including us. Our body has various meridians where energy flows. In ancient Chinese medicine, we call this "Qi". If energy is blocked somewhere in the body, various health ailments can take place- Stress being one of them. Acupuncture entails using fine needles to penetrate the skin, to release these energetic roadblocks...If you're anything like me, you may be thinking, "WHAT?! I'm not chilling with needles in my body! NO THANK YOU." Relaxxx, I promise you it doesn't hurt. PLUS, it's also a great time to practice mindfulness which has also been proven to reduce stress at just 10 minutes a day!

MOVE. YOUR. BODY!

It's really that simple. If you are stressed, you are in a negative state. The only way to effectively change your state is by changing your physiology. How do you change your physiology, you may ask? BY MOVING YOUR BODY. When you work out a whole slew of neurotransmitters are released, such as endorphins, serotonin, dopamine, and Adrenalin. All of which are commonly found in drugs. Essentially Working out is the healthiest, most cost effective, and safest drug out there. Go on, take a hit. I dare you.

You are what you eat

Though this could be a whole separate topic in and of itself, there is a direct link between what foods you choose to fuel your body with, and how it makes you feel. Nourish your body with foods that help reduce the stress hormone Cortisol. Adhering to an anti-inflammatory diet, and increasing your intake of adaptogens. Every morning I take an elixir filled with super-foods, B vitamins, and adaptogens. I also can't live without my e-shots which are made from 100% pure Yerba mate caffeine, and adaptogens; no jitters, no crash, just clean and clear and sustainable energy. If you are interested in finding out more about how I use adaptogenic supplementation in my diet, leave a comment or a like below and I'll be sure to make another post, or reach out to you directly.
